What is a Healing Chamber?

A healing chamber is a place where people go to get healed. Its used to help with many things from healing wounds to treating certain diseases and conditions. Usually this is done in a hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) chamber which you have to be referred by a doctor for.

During HBOT, you breathe pure oxygen at higher than normal pressures inside a clear plastic tube that looks like a bubble. The lungs absorb more oxygen during this treatment and it is carried through the blood to all tissues. The extra oxygen promotes growth of new blood vessels, a process known as angiogenesis. These new blood vessels improve blood flow and bring more oxygen to areas that need it for healing.

In Dragon Ball: Bardock gets sent back in time to planet plant where the doctors use a weird liquid that resembles what is used in these healing chambers. They are used to heal him from his injuries and illness after his fight with frieza.

During your session you will sit or lie down comfortably and relax in the chamber. A session can last up to 300 minutes. During your session you can read, watch TV, or listen to music. Some patients experience mild side effects of the chamber such as ear pressure, fatigue or headaches, but these are usually temporary. If you are diabetic you may need to start with shorter sessions as it increases your blood sugar levels.
